Q & A May 24, 2010

1. So do you do regular service? Where and what is it?
We don´t have regular service anywhere. We just look for people to help wherever we can. A lot of our service is cleaning the chaple ever Saturday night.

2. Are you still getting up at 5 am? Is that for the whole mission or just your Zone or area?
Well, I am trying to get up at 5, but we have had a crazy last week and we have been getting home late and things. I am going to work harder at getting up at five and maybe we´ll be blessed more. The whole mission is getting up at 5 to do more missionary work. We will see if that changes after this misison president goes home. It is hard when my comp doesn´t get up at five, but I´m going to do better.

3. BTW, what was that in the one picture you sent. It looked like a sin/shower? We couldn't tell what it was.
I don´t remember what I sent. I might be the sink. There are things in the pother part where you can wash clothes. We don´t use that really.

4. I noticed that you copied your mission president in your last e-mail to us. Is that required?
o whoops thanks for letting me know that. I did that on accident!!!

5. Do you and your comp always have a cell phone?
Yes. we all have cells phones all the time. You´d be suprised to see just how many people have cell phones here. They could be dirt poor, but still have satellite, and a cell phone.

6. How often do you meet with your mission president?
Once, maybe twice inbetween transfers

7. Do you ever cook for yourselves?
No, we don´t have any facilities to cook. Plsu, it is more expensive than just going to a restaurant. We did finlly buy some bologna and bread and had sandwiches for one meal.
8. Do you have glass on your windows, or do you have shutters like David did?
no, we just have two windows with glass. There aren´t any shutters, just metal bars over EVERY window. every window here has metal bars over it. All the churches have fences around them and barbed whire on the top of the fences.

9. How is the singing in your branch. Do you ever get to lead the music?
We have a CD player and the CDs with the hyms on them. They "lead", but it is more just moving their arm. They are horrible at singing. They can´t hardly sing. they are always off. There are only a few that can actually sing on the right melody. It is funny.

Love,

Elder Ashby
